Deborah Horton, M.Ed., LCPC, LPSC, NCC, CCTP II

Deborah specializes in working with adult women with history of depression, anxiety, and trauma. She is a credentialed many insurance plans.

Deborah utilizes a variety of therapeutic tools that are tailored to each individual client. She uses Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, meditation, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing What Is EMDR), art and writing therapy, and more to promote healing and wellness.

Deborah worked at Billings Senior High School for almost 7 years with a very diverse student population.  She worked from December 2015 to June 2017 at a residential mental health facility counseling adolescent girls with complex trauma in individual, family, and group sessions. She began her private practice June of 2017 working with women and girls with complex trauma, as well as many other mental health diagnoses. She transitioned her practice only adult females in June 2022. She will begin teaching online classes at university level in 2024.  Deborah is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Licensed Montana K-12 School Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II.  Deborah has a new book available for purchase now Unlearn Your Trauma: Find Yourself Through The Process

Deborah also offers several Therapy Business Services.  Private practice start-up services that includes insurance credentialing, marketing, and mentoring services.  Supervision of candidate licensed therapists on an hourly basis or as part of an independent contractor arrangement that allows candidate licensed therapists to start their own private practices.  Therapy billing services to help streamline and manage insurance billing.  Please visit the Therapy Business Services page for more information.

Deborah accepts the following insurance:  BCBS Montana, First Choice, EBMS, Allegiance, Cigna, Aetna, Pacific Source. She also accepts private pay clients.  Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare not accepted.
